To utilize my extensive skills in the areas of Capture Management, Sales & Marketing, Operations Management, and Contracts Administration to contribute to increased bid submissions and project wins.  In addition, as noted in my resume, I have a deep skill set across a wide range of disciplines. I am working towards completing my MBA degree (with a focus in Contract and Project Management).    

 

Summary of Qualifications

 

Co-founder and Director of Progressive Network Solutions (PNS).  Multiple roles of responsibility include: Sales & Marketing Lead with extensive contract wins, Project Manager for several complex overseas programs supporting the US Warfighter in the war zone, Operations Manager, and Facility Security Officer with lead responsibility for all Security Operations of PNS.  Perform as the company’s lead Contracts Administrator responsible for maintaining existing contracts and for drafting, reviewing, approving, and submitting new contracts; GSA schedules; proposals; and performing all other required ongoing contract administration.  I am currently completing an Executive MBA program at Keller Graduate School of Management with a focus on Contract and Project Management.  I am also preparing for obtaining PMP Certification.  I have held many technical certifications (including the CISSP security professional as well as Cisco and Microsoft specific technical certifications).  My in-depth technical expertise combined with my years of experience supporting the US warfighter via complex worldwide military contracts enable me to high a high success rate with bid submissions and contract wins.    

 

 

Professional Experience

 

Co-Founder, Progressive Network Solutions

(January 2000 – January 2013)

 

-Led every stage of company incorporation and secured the first several contract wins.

-Responsible for a full spectrum of operational roles and responsibilities for the company.

-Responsible for project management support for programs supporting the US Warfighter in Iraq and Afghanistan, US Department of State with Iraq Public Polling requirements, and pre-deployment training for the Marine Corps.

-Won contracts with the Department of State; Army Information Security Command (INSCOM); Marine Corps Civil Affairs; Counter-Intelligence Field Activity; Health & Human Services; Department of Transportation; Department of Labor; and the Department of Interior.

-Built a relationship that lead to several prime contract awards with the Marine Corps Civil Affairs Group (at Quantico, VA).

-Served as the primary individual responsible for contract vehicle awards including GSA 8(a) STARS, GSA 70, Alliant, and OPTARRS II. Responsible for daily administration and maintenance of the following contracts: Iraqi Advisor Task Force (IQATF); INSCOM Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan (OEF-A); Dept of Defense Language Interpretation & Translation Enterprises (DLITE); and State Department Iraqi Public Opinion Polling.

- Managed an internal staff consisting of finance, payroll, and contract specialists; sales & marketing leads; and geographically-dispersed recruiting managers tasked with the demands of staffing PNS overseas contracts in Iraq and Afghanistan to support the US Warfighter in the combat theater. 

-Performed the role of Facility Security Officer (FSO) since the company’s inception.  Performed all tasks required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Facility Clearance (FCL) for PNS as well as maintaining a strong ongoing security infrastructure.

-Provided training in a supervisory role for internal security staff tasked with performing daily security tasks.  

 

 

Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 Architect, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)

(June 2003 – December 2004)

-Windows Active Directory and Exchange Server Architect for the Federal Highway nationwide infrastructure consisting of over 100 servers.

-Delivered top-tier troubleshooting to resolve complex performance and functionality issues on local and nationwide Windows 2000/2003 domain controller servers and Exchange Servers.

- Implemented an Exchange Public Folder hierarchy and assisted with creating and maintaining agency-wide policies for public folder use.

 

 

Exchange 2000 Migration Project Lead, Department of Transportation (NHTSA)

(November 2002 – June 2003)

 

Exchange 2000 Migration Project

-Provided leadership and technical engineering expertise on a large-scale GroupWise 6.0 to Exchange 2000 migration project. 

-Worked closely with Microsoft engineers on initiative to enable free/busy calendar information to propagate across multiple messaging systems.

-Conducted technical evaluation of Exchange 2000 monitoring tools.  

 

 

Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000/Exchange 5.5 Engineer, Department of Labor (ETA)

(April 2002– November 2002)

 

-Created a detailed Exchange 2000 architecture.

-Implemented a Windows 2000 architecture and detailed migration plan for moving the organization from Novell NDS to Windows 2000 Active Directory.

-Provided direction to 12 other systems engineers and systems administrators to construct the proposed environment. 

- Created detailed design documents illustrating the proposed environment.

 

 

Senior Network Engineer/Security Engineer, Northrup Grumman IT

(January 2002– April 2002)

 

Internet Security/Standards and User Guide Creation

-Created Internet Security/Standards and User Guides for the Department of the Interior.

-Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guides included: Certification and Accreditation Processes, Security Incident Response Guidance for Systems Engineers, and Physical and Logical Security Safeguards.

-Performed on-site evaluations of existing security posture by using a customized Management Control Review (MCR) process.

 

 

Senior Network Engineer/Project Manager, Verisign

(December 2000 – January 2002)

 

Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000:

-Created a proposed design for Exchange 2000 Server within the proposed Windows 2000 Active Directory architecture.

-Responsible for maintaining Verisign digital certificates on websites.

-Provided engineering support for a variety of financial applications.

 

 

Senior Systems Engineer/Systems Design Architect, American Red Cross

(April 1999 – December 2000)

 

-Updated the American Red Cross DNS servers, Mail Exchanger records and redirected incoming SMTP traffic

-Designed a two-stage Microsoft Proxy Server configuration for American Red Cross 10,000+ user community.

-Created over 50 SMS installer packages that automated the installation of complex in-house oracle-based applications as well as a wide variety of commercial of the shelf (COTS) software packages.

 

Senior Networking and Microsoft BackOffice Consultant, Spectrum Technology Group    (April 1997 – April 1999)

 

-Created and implemented an organization-wide NT domain architecture and Microsoft Systems Management Server for Amtrak.

-Performed a comprehensive study of a major corporation’s current e-mail system and produced a detailed technical report.

-Installed and configured Exchange newsgroup support and the Exchange Web Access component.

 

 

Senior Network Support Engineer, Cable and Wireless Inc.

(June 1996 – April 1997)

 

-Installed, configured, and maintained DNS, DHCP, WINS Servers and Microsoft Systems Management Server.

-Performed upgrades and daily maintenance of the Cable and Wireless Global E-Mail Solution.

-Implemented use of EMX software, as well as maintained the Oracle database used by the EMX system.

- Administered fifteen Netware Servers and ten Windows NT Servers.

- Member of a design team responsible for the creation of a department-wide Windows 95 standard Desktop for users migrating from Windows for Workgroups to Windows 95
